Business Development Manager

As a Business Development Manager at Squalio, based in Latvia and fully integrated into the UK team, you will be primarily responsible for new business sales in IT Asset Management for enterprise clients in the UK market. You will engage in open conversations with clients about their IT strategy and explore how we can support them in achieving their ITAM objectives.

As an experienced BDM, you have the ability to convince clients of the added value of our services and products and guide them through your vision. You will independently create account plans for your clients and see it as a challenge to meet or even exceed your targets. You will play a key role in building sustainable relationships with new clients, supported by a highly driven and experienced team of experts, a professional service organization, and strong partnerships with our technology partners.

Responsibilities

  • Driving new business sales with enterprise clients to achieve our growth objectives
  • Managing the sales pipeline and delivering a well-supported forecast
  • Positioning our ITAM portfolio in the UK market
  • Coordinating RFP processes
  • Collaborating with the services team and portfolio management to optimize service offerings
  • Contributing to marketing activities (events, lead follow-up)
  • Working closely with our technology partners to serve clients together
  • Providing clear internal communication regarding customer needs
  • Ensuring a seamless transition from sales to service/product delivery
  • Supporting lead generation for services and products and passing these on to the respective sales/experts

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience in selling IT solutions to enterprise clients in the European market (preferably the UK).
  • Familiar with the dynamics of consultative selling and relatively long sales cycles
  • Experience in selling managed services and products
  • Ideally, experience in selling software, licenses and/or ITAM (sales/services)
  • A self-starter with the drive to sell best-in-class services and products that provide value to our clients
  • Strong networking and negotiation skills with high-level managers across various sectors and roles, such as ITAM, Finance, Procurement, Risk, and Compliance
  • Experience working with a sales/CRM tool to track and manage opportunities
  • Ability to manage the sales pipeline and engage in sales forecast discussions
  • Excellent command of English, in speaking and writing
